Sola Cue Vibrator Review
I have tried a lot of sex toys and the majority of them are mediocre. Some are utter junk. And a very tiny portion of them are blow my knickers off amazing. If I am honest I’d never heard of the brand ‘Sola’ before. So, when preparing to review the Sola Cue I was preparing for an experience that was mediocre at best. I even had my favourite clit vibe at the ready for when it inevitably left me hanging on the wrong side of an orgasm. I let out a woe is me sigh as I inserted it into my vagina. And then I switched it on…
“Holy Shit”

Packaging
I have a tendency to get a bit arsey about posh luxury boxes, like that of the Sola Cue, when all I really want is a storage pouch. Except, Sola gave me both. Luxury and convenience. May all the other sex toy manufacturers follow in their glorious footsteps.

Design
With a matte silicone shaft in a beautiful slate blue colour, it is both body safe and attractive. Completely non-porous and phthalates free it’s as every sex toy should be. The Cue has a delicious 5 inches of insertable length and just under 5 inches of circumference. Or a 1.5 inch diameter. It’s certainly suitable for a person new to penetration, providing they use a good water based lube and warm up to it if they need to.
It’s clear this is not a toy for anal play and as such has been designed for optimum vaginal pleasure. It has a gentle curve leading up to its bulbous head, designed to stimulate the g spot. The shaft is also hard and rigid making pressure on the g spot easier to achieve. As with all vibrators though, you can stimulate the areas of the body you choose to. Perineum? Nipples? Clitoris? I personally use this on my clitoris as well as using it internally. I only wish I had two so I could stimulate them both with a Sola Cue simultaneously. Now, that would really blow my knickers off…

Charging
Let me introduce you to the one downfall of the Sola Cue. Granted, a small and slightly insignificant one. The charger on the Cue is simply fiddly and downright annoying. But, some folk may rejoice since this toy actually comes with a mains adapter. This is beyond rare in the land of sex toys and is unfortunately of no consequence to me as it doesn’t fit my UK plug sockets. So here I am, once again, with nothing but a USB charger to power my penetrator.

Functions
Two buttons allow you to determine the fate of your Sola Cue, and thus, your path to orgasm. A decidedly ordinary plus and minus button. Hold down the plus to power it up, hold down the minus to switch it off. It does take a few seconds of holding the buttons down, which means if you’re after a toy that will turn off immediately, well, this isn’t it.
With 5 speeds and 5 patterns, there is more than enough variety to keep your genitals interested. Simply scroll through with the plus button. Accidentally scrolled past your favourite? Hit that minus button. It doesn’t sound too special, but I’ve tried enough toys in which scrolling back is not an option, to appreciate this seemingly unspecial thing.

Vibes
Buzzy and rumbly are prominent words in the world of sex toys. Buzzy is a means to a numb clitoris and rumbly is the Sola Cue. In fact, I’ve only known one other toy to rumble with the ferocity of the Cue and it was twice the price. Even the lowest setting of this vibrator surpasses the highest of many others. Which gives me cause to jump up and down with glee before, during and after masturbation. But, for others, may be a reason to loathe it.
Play Time
Vaginal
Too intense is not a description I often use on my blog. In fact, it is so rare that I have never used it to describe a vibrator. But the Sola Cue is bordering on too intense. Even on its lowest setting, it makes the bottom half of me involuntarily wobble. It finds my g spot on its own and presses against it firmly, shocking the hell out of it when I switch the Cue on. I’m sure I can hear my g spot yelp in pleasured surprise. And it definitely sobs when the fun’s all over. Nagging between my legs for another hit of the Sola.
Clitoral
Usually, I don’t even give a vaginal vibrator the benefit of the doubt that it might have the ability to get me off clitorally. But after feeling the intensity of the Sola Cue’s rumble, I didn’t even question its clitoral abilities. I was genuinely excited to press this against my clit and wait for it to bring me to an inevitable orgasm. I soon discovered it was somewhat broader than my clit desires, but not broad enough to take orgasms off the sex table. In fact, as this deeply rumbled against my clit it fed my nerve endings with a power they aren’t accustomed to. A power so intense I was equally excited and afraid of the orgasm that was building up. Could my body really handle it?
The answer? Yes, it could. The intense waves of external orgasm were nothing but a head spinning, I don’t even know what year is, knee jerking pleasure.

Conclusion
Not only do I recommend the Sola Cue, I feel its worthy of applause. It puts the majority of vibrators out there to shame. It’s body safe, it’s powerful, it rumbles and best of all, it is affordable. Of the one hundred plus toys I have tried it is now proudly placed in my top five. I knew it the second I switched it on inside me and made an unintelligible noise akin to an excited animal. The fact it can be used for both vaginal and clitoral stimulation makes this affordable toy a downright bargain. I just really need the rest of the Sola toys now…
