There is something interesting about all the Satisfyer models. Despite there being terms like ‘pro’ and ‘deluxe’ used there is no clearly superior model. So although there was the release of the Pro 2, the Satisfyer 2 still has functions that may make it more appealing. It depends on what aspects hold the most importance to you. So the older Satisfyer models warrant consideration for finding the perfect one for you.
As with all the Satisfyer models I own, this one comes in a nice cardboard box. The Satisfyer 2 is resting in a clear plastic insert and comes with an instruction manual. It’s certainly not packaging worth keeping.
Satisfyer 2 Design.
I’m not sure I have ever felt quite so indifferent about the design of a toy. There is nothing unappealing about its design but it’s just really boring. Of all the models I find the Satisfyer 2 to look least like a sex toy. It’s muted colours and shape give it an appearance more like that of a beauty product. An exfoliator perhaps? But nothing about it screams ‘I get people off.’ Which may actually be a bonus if discretion is important to you.
The main body is white with rose gold accents on the buttons and head. The Satisfyer 2 features a screw on base for inserting 2 AAA batteries. The shape, though unattractive, is comfortable to hold. As a sufferer of hand pain the lightness of this toy does not go unnoticed either.
The Satisfyer 2 is completely body safe. With an ABS plastic body and a silicone nozzle. The nozzle has good and bad features for me. This shape fits perfectly over my clitoris. But it has an uncushioned, thin design that makes the rigidness of the plastic come through. I would have a preference for a nozzle more like that of the Satisfyer Pro 2.
Despite the screw on base Satisfyer claim it’s completely waterproof. Not only does this make for a quick and easy clean up it means it can come along for some fun baths and showers. Due to the loudness of the Satisfyer 2 when not in contact with the body, I tend to use mine in the bath to muffle any sound. And when I say loud, I mean seriously loud.
EDIT – Somehow my Satisfyer 2 got water in the battery compartment. Even with fresh batteries it’s lifeless. If you are looking for a Satisfyer to use in the bath I’d recommend the Pro 2, Pro Deluxe or Pro Penguin. All of which are rechargeable and actually waterproof.
The Satisfyer 2 is the only model that features both an increase and decrease button. This is a huge bonus as the Satisfyer can go from pleasurable to uncomfortable at the press of a button. It is unlike all the other models in which you have to scroll through the 11 intensity settings if you go over your limit. You have complete, convenient control with the Satisfyer 2.
The sensations of all the Satisfyers take some getting used to. The way in which you use them and the way your orgasm builds is so different to that of a vibrator. Unlike a vibrator, increasing the intensity isn’t going to get you to orgasm any quicker. In fact it’s more likely to take you a step in the other direction. At best you will lose your rhythm and at worst it may actually hurt a little. I tend to stick to the second and third settings with water based lube for added comfort.
It took at least 4 attempts with the Satisfyer 2 before I understood what all the fuss was about. So if it doesn’t work the first few times, don’t write it off. It’s worth the effort of sticking it out. When you master this toy and how to use it with your anatomy not only the orgasms but the build ups are mind-blowing. And I don’t use that word lightly. As a silent masturbator it was a new experience to have Oooo’s and Ahhh’s uncontrollably escape my lips. The build up is incredibly intense and leaves me unbearably on the brink of orgasm. To finish I do have to use my fingers either vaginally or rubbing against my labia. And what a finale. The waves of orgasm last longer than with any other sexual stimulation I’ve tried. Just as I think it’s game over my clitoris pulses that little bit more.
If I had paid for this toy I would have been annoyed about it breaking due to water damage. Other sex bloggers confirmed I’m not the first person to discover this ‘waterproof’ toy is in fact not waterproof. In regards to sensation there is not much difference between the Satisfyer 2 and the other models. So if you want to save pennies for a non waterproof toy I recommend the Satisfyer 2. If you’d rather pay more for a waterproof model then I’d head over to my review on the Satisfyer Pro 2.
