November Favourites – Curvy Cocks & Chocolate Lube
Since I spent the better half of November in a state of depression, this will probably be the hardest monthly favourites I have written. When I’m feeling that down, the only things I love are my bed and Netflix. Sexy things couldn’t be further from my mind. In fact, I am beginning to realise what a challenge I am facing writing a sex blog when I have such a low libido and no desire to have partnered sex, at all. I continue writing and always intend to, as this blog is my one way to stay connected with my sexuality. Without my blog, I would just use the same clit vibe, with mundane thoughts, a few times a week pre-snoring. Sex has been a huge part of my identity since I first discovered my clitoris, it is not a part of myself I am prepared to have taken away from me.
Besides, some people lead me to believe that despite my lack of libido, I’m not all that bad at this sex blogging thing. I might not have tales of kink events, threesomes or sex in the woods, but I’ve still managed to get a place on two top sex blogger lists this past month. Both the Kinkly Top 100 Sex Blogging Superheroes and, to my amazement, number 7 on the Molly’s Daily Kiss Top 100 Sex Blogs. I am shocked and honoured and grateful and 99.9% sure there must have been some kind of mistake. Still, it has given me the ability to see that the shortcomings I focus on, aren’t as prevalent as my mind of misery likes me to believe.
So, after that probably-too-honest intro…
Here are the Sexy Things I’ve Been Loving This Month
At the end of the month, I got to review a sex toy that is all the things I love. It’s powerful, rumbly, curvaceous and mine. The Naughty Passion Silicone G-Spot Curve Vibrator reminded me of the Sola Cue, except it’s pinker and cheaper. Despite having screwed and reviewed some wonderful and unique toys this month, this classic vibrator proved that sometimes the most ordinary-looking sex toys can be the best.
Right next to me in Molly’s Top 100 Sex Blogs 2018 list was May More and her blog ‘Sex Matters‘. It was no surprise to see May so high on Molly’s list, as she has wowed me with her writing and photography since I first discovered her blog. I have fallen in love with her writing even more throughout the Smut Marathon, and admire her bravery in the subjects she chooses to write about. Her blog really does have it all, so I highly recommend checking it out!
I captured a very last minute image for November’s Sinful Sunday prompt photo. It might have been a good idea, but I didn’t have the time, or daylight, to execute it very well. Still, this was one of those photos I seemed to like a lot more than anyone else did. Whilst I love Sinful Sunday, I don’t really feel my photography skills match up with the other entrants. But, I have heard exciting things are planned for Molly’s Daily Kiss, with some photography tips coming our way. I am very excited to hopefully be able to up my photo-taking game.
At some point this month I sadly turned the final page of Girl On The Net’s – How A Bad Girl Fell In Love. Like so many people, I find her writing utterly addictive and incredibly entertaining. I adore how she describes sex in such a raw and just-the-right-amount-of-filthy way. I love her attitude, her honesty and her politics. I’m crossing my fingers hard that she is able to write another one. I’ll be first in Amazon’s cyber-line to read it.
A Tasty Treat
I’ve found most flavoured lubricants taste completely inaccurate, artificial, or just have an overwhelming essence of yuk. I was astounded when I tried the Lovehoney Chocolate Orange Flavoured Lubricant and it not only tasted nice, but actually tasted like a chocolate orange. In fact, I enjoyed the flavour so much, I’m kinda gutted I don’t have a penis to lick it off of. Maybe there’s a sex drive buried within me after all.
And the Not-So-Sexy Things I’ve Been Loving?
I always know when I’ve hit dire levels of depression as I turn into a tv-watching zombie. When things get really bad I can get through an entire series within a couple of days. This is a sure-fire way to send me into a downward spiral of misery and I’ve-done-none-of-the-things-on-my-to-do-list anxiety. However, E.R is also extremely good and I absolutely love it. Perhaps, like many things I love, it’s better in moderation though?
Yes, I am aware Christmas is not in November. But, Christmas makes me happy and, as I’ve already made so clear, I’ve been in need of a dose of happiness. So, I’ve been getting festive a little early with Christmas songs, Christmas crafts and Christmas shopping. Now I’m looking forward to bringing some of that Christmas spirit to my blog. It’s December now, so totally acceptable to bombard you all with merriment.
