Make Me Melt Warm Drip Candles Review
Trying new bondage candles is always an awesome experience. The anticipation created by not knowing what they will be like. Will they be too hot for me to handle? Will I be able to take the heat? It’s a kink adrenaline rush and I love it! The Make Me Melt Warm Drip Candles were a whole new brand for me. And I couldn’t wait to see if they had the sweet sting I can barely handle or a burn beyond my tolerance.
The cardboard box these come in perfectly matches the colour scheme of the Make Me Melt Warm Drip Candles. I won’t be keeping it but its bright colours are nice.
The four colours which make up the Make Me Melt Warm Drip Candles are beautifully different shades. With orange, yellow, pale pink and white. Unfortunately the colour isn’t quite as pigmented as I needed to transfer well on my pale skin. I imagine someone with a dark skin tone would be able to create vibrant wax art with these shades. Whereas I struggled to see any of the colours, besides the orange, on my skin.
The thin, long candles are light and comfortable to hold. With more than enough wax for multiple wax play sessions. The white wick burns beautifully without creating too much smoke. Although I did find the white candle emitted some black smoke.
I have to admit my pain tolerance probably isn’t as high as a lot of other kinksters. I wouldn’t say I actually enjoyed pain. It’s more about testing my endurance. And the relief I feel between each burning drip along with the anticipation of the next. I’m also a sucker for any kink that I can get creative with. And bondage candles fit that desire perfectly.
These candles burn at about 54 Degrees Celsius. Whereas normal household candles burn at around 60 Degrees Celsius. The Make Me Melt Warm Drip Candles don’t sting as much as other candles I have tried, but they sure are up there with the hottest. The candle wax melts very quickly due to their thin design, so play time starts almost immediately after lighting them. As a fan of the anticipation a part of me wishes they took a little longer to reach that initial drip.
I tend to play with candles on my own more than with a partner. There is something about testing my control and willpower that I love about solo wax play. And in the case of the Make Me Melt Warm Drip Candles and their mighty sting, that was definitely tested. I admit that in use the pastel shades were quite a let down. Only the orange showed up vibrantly on my skin, giving me the visual satisfaction of my endurance and creativity. The other shades were barely visible and the yellow gave my skin a look of disease. If you have a pale complexion like mine and want more than just sensation, I’d try some different colours.
I was probably able to play for around five minutes before my tolerance was maxed out. Whilst the pain got slightly easier to bear as I progressed, it wasn’t enough to prolong play any further. I found the wax easy to clean up. It peeled off beautifully which I find incredibly satisfying to do. I do have a sheet I use specifically for wax play though as it’s never as forgiving on cloth as it is the skin. Once it was removed I had a lovely red glow left in its place. My skin was more sensitive periodically, but definitely only in a good way.
When the Make Me Melt Warm Drip Candles have all run out I won’t be replacing them. This is only due to their weak colouring against my skin tone. Had my skin been darker I feel I’d have had a much more positive experience. The visual side of wax play is incredibly important to me. For functionality though, they are a good option for people looking for an intense experience. They are something I will use during harder dom/sub sessions. But I’m going to stick to my lower melting point candles for when I want to get creative on my own.
