Imtoy Gazelle Review
Of all the sex toys I have owned, a rechargeable wand vibrator was never one of them. As a lover of precise clitoral stimulation the broadness of wands didn’t take me over the edge of orgasm. And then I spotted this very clever wand vibrator, with its optional horned head for precise vibrations. There was so much about the Imtoy Gazelle which in theory ticked all my boxes. Beautiful design, broad and pinpoint stimulation, rechargeable, waterproof and bodysafe. To name just a few. All that was left, was checking out if the motor had the roar my clitoris desired.
I can’t help but get a little excited over luxurious packaging. And Imtoy nailed the art of luxury packing. With a sturdy drawer box, decorated paper insert and a foam cushion for the contents. If there was an award for the best packaged toy, the Gazelle would prance away with the gold.
The Imtoy Gazelle is made using body-safe, silky smooth silicone. On first site I was taken aback by its petite size. Although not as small as a classic ‘mini wand’ it wasn’t what I’ve come to recognize as a full-sized wand. This was quite a pleasing discovery for me. It’s petite design was more likely to stimulate my clitoris in a way that would result in orgasm. The simplistic nude pink design gives the Imtoy Gazelle a touch of sophistication a lot of sex toys lack in. It is sleek, minimalistic and features the most glamorous rose gold accents I have ever seen.
My wand arrived fully charged. Saving me from the initial 5 hour charge period and letting me jump straight into the fun. The USB cable magnetically connects to the base of the Imtoy Gazelle. It’s rechargeable features are to the quality of the most luxury sex toy brands. The magnets are strong, staying firmly in place throughout charge. When fully charged the button will turn from a flashing light to a steady light, as is the case with most sex toys.
I believe the Imtoy Zoo collection was designed with the expectation that people would use the app to control it. But I’m more of a manual girl myself. The less hassle my orgasms are the better. I’m a lazy masturbator. The Gazelle has a single button control. Which isn’t ideal. You do have to scroll through all the settings to find the one you desire. And a good 15 seconds gets wasted if you accidentally pass your favourite pattern. I don’t even know if I say that with sarcasm or not. 15 seconds isn’t a long time. But as well as being a lazy masturbator, I’m an impatient one too. On top of this the single button is tiny and hard to find via touch. I usually have to stop midplay and put the wand in my eye line to find the button again. Using the wand manually there was an option of 4 intensities and 8 patterns. Which is more than enough variety for many people’s stimulation desires.
I downloaded the Zoo app via the Playstore on my Samsung Galaxy S6. The app logo is inconspicuous and didn’t look out-of-place amongst my app games. I had a little hiccup in attempting to pair the devices via bluetooth. I was so impressed by Imtoys speedy response to me over Twitter. And as it turns out, I was just being rubbish at tech stuff. Which is why I’m more of a manual girl!
There are a variety of 16 different vibration settings on the app. This includes some speeds but is mostly differing patterns. There is also an option to ‘rocket boost’ the vibrations. I found the power of the rocket boost to be equal to the strongest steady setting on manual mode. So there is no elite power only available to app users.
An area of the app which got me really excited was the option to draw my own patterns. This is an experience I’ve never had with a vibrator before and was both fun and pleasurable. Though for the aim of getting off, I stick with the premade patterns. The Shake option of the app works well but is way too much effort for me. There are also the options to experience vibration patterns through video and audio files. I was disappointed that I was unable to get the audio section to work, as I imagine listening to erotica and having vibrations in sync would be extremely pleasurable. The video worked well and I intend to get some home-made porn on my phone to try out with this function. As it is the sexiest video I had was me discussing sex blogging. So yeah, not sexy at all.
Okay so that’s all the basics. But how did the Imtoy Gazelle actually feel? Honestly, I feel quite indifferent about it. The vibrations are just powerful enough to get me off. Whilst I find the steady vibes somewhat buzzy, the patterns actually have quite a nice rumble to them. I do appreciate the soft design of the head, as this allows me to press the wand against my clitoris. Which given its mediocre vibrations, is necessary for my power-hungry clit. Something that surprised me was my ability to orgasm with its broad stimulation. Whilst the more pinpointed stimulation of the horned attachment left me feeling understimulated. It should also be noted that whilst not a loud sex toy, the Gazelle is not discreet.
I wanted to love the Imtoy Gazelle more than I did. It just didn’t knock my socks off. It seems to be another case of a fantastically designed vibrator with a lackluster motor. That said, there is something to appreciate in the less intense vibrations. My go to vibe has my vulva pulsating before my fantasy has even begun. The Gazelle gives my mind a chance to catch up. It was a masturbatory experience, rather than just a bodily reaction. Whilst I write this with the best intentions of having more solo sessions instead of solo quickies. I know more intense vibrators will likely still prevail.
If you would like to try the Imtoy Gazelle and it’s many app functions, you can purchase one here for $89.99
Huge thanks to Imtoy for sending me the Imtoy Gazelle in exchange for an honest review!
