FT London Gpop Review
The design of the FT London Gpop is so simple it was a slight surprise from a company I found previously to be incredibly innovative. Creating toys such as the Gvibe and the Gvibe mini. But when a design isn’t broke, why fix it? And the unintimidating size along with its delicious rounded curve was always going to be a sure thing for my G spot. And I assume for a P spot too. I’ll be honest, the design is incredibly reminiscent of a sex toy by another brand. But FT london have added vibes and decreased the price. So as a consumer always on the hunt for a bargain, I can’t complain.
In the usual fashion of FT London the Gpop is packaged beautifully. In their unique cylindrical box along with gorgeous designs. Within the sturdy packaging is the Gpop, a usb charger, a storage pouch and user manual.
The FT London Gpop is a small sex toy, with the outer ring amounting for a third of its 5 inch length. The bold blue body safe silicone is seriously soft and perfectly seamless. Whilst it’s G spot and P spot stimulating bulge is hard and rigid, there is plenty of flexibility to aid in hitting the perfect spot. The outer ring, large enough to insert one finger, houses the battery charging port and the control button. It also has a 3D ‘ft’ logo which I find useful for checking which way round the Gpop is when it’s inserted.
If your sex toy collection is anything like mine you’ll understand my gratitude at having a usb charger labeled with the brand logo. It also stands out further with its bright red coloring amongst a sea of white cables. The charger magnetically clicks onto the FT London Gpop outer ring firmly. The other side can plug into any USB port like a laptop etc. I personally use a USB adapter and plug it into my wall socket. Though mine arrived fully charged and after a few uses is still going strong. It can last 4 hours on a charge though I would guess this would not be true if it is always used on its highest setting.
There is only one button control on the FT London Gpop. Whilst this does mean having to scroll through the patterns it also means it’s very easy to navigate during use. Meaning you can switch up the vibes as you go along. One click will turn the Gpop on and holding down the button will turn it off.
There are 6 vibration modes for you to choose from. This includes 3 steady intensity settings and 3 patterned vibrations. The motor seems to be the same or similar to that used in the other Gvibe toys I have tried. I find the vibes to be just shy of what I’d expect from a powerful motor. So whilst they surpass cheaper sex toys, they aren’t made to wow. They are also more on the buzzing side as opposed to the delicious rumble most of us desire.
In terms of noise level I find the FT London Gpop to be impressive. Whilst not silent, a shut door is probably enough to drown out the buzz and keep things discreet. But the fact it is waterproof allows discreet play to be had in the bath or shower anyway.
With water based lube, a clit vibe and my new FT London Gpop at the ready, I got down to business. During insertion I felt more of the girth than I’d expected given it’s petite sizing. Once inserted I was surprised when it didn’t hit my G spot immediately. I kind of thought it would gravitate towards it naturally given its bulging curve. But apparently not. In fact it took me a little while to find my sweet spot. Under a minute, but I’m an end goal kind of masturbator.
I had to push the Gpop in further than I’d imagined to reach my G spot. So far in fact that if it had been a cm deeper the Gpop wouldn’t have reached. With my pleasure zone located I could start experimenting with the vibes and some movements. Lets talk about those vibes first. They were, to put it simply, too dull for me internally. I would probably never reach orgasm if I relied on the vibrations alone to get me off, without incorporating any movement. Fortunately, vibrations aren’t really my favourite means of internal stimulation anyway.
And that’s what brings us to movement. My preferred method of internal stimulation. And as I soon discovered, an easy method with the FT London Gpop and its useful finger loop. Not only easy but incredibly comfortable, a huge bonus to me with my nuisance gripping pains on my hands. I was able to thrust and wriggle my Gpop with ease. Though wriggling was by far the most wowing of the two. So wowing in fact it brought me to a second orgasm just moments after the first. Intense orgasms making me involuntarily cry out with pleasure. Something I never do on purpose during solo sex. But was just uncontrollable with the Gpop.
I’ve since used the FT London Gpop a couple more times and have come to the conclusion that it is a good sex toy. Not great. But good. It’s a guaranteed means to intense multiple orgasms for me. So I’d definitely recommend it to those who, like me, prefer manual internal movement rather than internal vibes. I do feel an extra couple of cm’s would have been beneficial in ensuring it reached everyone’s sweet spots. And I just can’t help wishing it had more of a rumble. I am intrigued to see how it’s received by those with a prostate, as I imagine it being even more pleasurable as an anal toy.
