Each week I answer a question asked to me by one of my readers. For this week it’s all about premature ejaculation, a common issue within bedrooms. If you have a question you would like me to answer then please contact me here and keep your eye out for my upcoming Q & A. The question asked this week was:
Why do I suffer from premature ejaculation with my girlfriend when I don’t with anyone else?
There are a number of causes of premature ejaculation. These causes are either psychological or physical. The fact this is only happening with one woman leads me to believe it is likely to be a psychological issue.
The main psychological causes of premature ejaculation include:
- stress (sexual or otherwise)
- concerns over getting and maintaining an erection
- sexual performance anxiety
- relationship problems.
Given the information you’ve provided, it is likely you are suffering from premature ejaculation due to relationship problems.
My advice would be to try to pinpoint any issues you have within your relationship. If it’s an option for you than relationship counselling would probably be very beneficial.
I believe the majority of problems within relationships are caused by a lack of communication. Set some time aside to really talk to one another about your problems in and out of the bedroom. Be honest, open and understanding. This is something every couple needs to do in order to maintain a happy, healthy relationship.
Premature ejaculation can often be caused in relationships when a man doesn’t feel supported by his partner. This will cause any of his anxieties to heighten. If this is the case for you I recommend opening up to your partner about how you’re feeling. Let her know what she can do to be more supportive and the things she is doing that are unsupportive. Also listen to any issues she has that my be causing her to not support you as she should. It’s likely if you’re experiencing relationship problems, then she is as well.
I do have a post which covers methods you can use to increase stamina here. This should be very beneficial to you. However, I think it is most important for you to concentrate on improving any issues within your relationship. In doing this I would expect things in the bedroom to then naturally improve.
I hope this answered your question! If anyone would like to ask me a question for next weeks Q & A then please contact me here.
