Although sex retailers may have the optimum products to use in the bedroom, you can still find bits around the house that will add to the fun. If you want to mix things up without having to spend any extra cash, I’ve got the perfect list for you. From vanilla to kinky, I’ve got all your household sex toys covered!
For nipple clamps, there are a couple of things you can try. You’ve probably thought of clothes pegs already, but what about bag clips? You know those clips used to seal things like bread or a bag of crisps? They give just the right amount of pinch for a bit of kinky pleasure.
My favourite kind of stimulation. Anyone else remember having a spare electric toothbrush for such purposes? Just me? What about the shower head? It was one hot shower the day I discovered the joys of a powerful stream of water hitting my clit. It seems everybody has a phone with a vibrating function. Set a non-stop alarm and you’re good to go. There’s also my foot exfoliator. It has quite a nice buzz, just don’t use the exfoliating side.. Ouch!
Believe it or not, there are things around your house that are safe to use as lube when you’re in a pinch. Non flavoured yoghurt for instance. If you choose a yoghurt containing Lactobacillus acidophilus you will even be keeping yeast infections at bay! Bonus! Whilst you’re looking in the fridge you could grab some egg whites too. Provided they’re in date they work perfectly as a lube, though they wouldn’t be thick enough for anal sex.
Restraints & Blindfolds
You’re likely to have a few ideas already on what you can use to restrain your lover. There are things all around the house that will work for restraining and blindfolding. Here’s a few I can think of:
- Neck Ties
- Bathrobe Tie
- Stockings or Tights
One word of caution, these items are not made for the purpose of household sex toys so be careful and have a safe word.
As glorious as a good hand spanking is, it can be enjoyable for both the spanker and the spanked to use a tool. Using items around the house is a great way for beginners to get to know what sort of spanking they like. This gives them an idea of what spankers to invest in. Do you prefer the broad spank of a paddle or spatula? Or the whip of a crop or belt? Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Wooden Spoon
- Flip Flops
- Carpet Beater
- Table Tennis Bat
Massage is one of my favourite bedroom activities. It’s the most romantic foreplay I know of. If you’ve run out of your favourite massage oil there are a few things you can use in a pinch. Fortunately, my bestie is a massage therapist so I turned to her for ideas. She recommends coconut oil or olive oil as great alternative products. Baby oil is okay as a one-off but it will clog your pores.
I’m going to be a total bore and recommend you buy a dildo. This is especially true if you plan on using it for anal penetration. You need a flared base to ensure you won’t be going to the emergency room with something stuck up your ass. If you really want to use a household object then please bear in mind these tips:
- Do not use anything anally without a flared base. Your bum will swallow it and unlike the vagina, the colon keeps going
- Do not use anything with sharp edges or ridges
- Always thoroughly wash and rinse it first
- Always use a condom
- Do not use any form of bottles due to the suction
- Do not use anything that can break or fall apart
- Don’t use anything that can leak
