Commotion Rhumba Rabbit Vibrator Review

A good Rhumba dance routine is usually co-ordinated, passionate, lively and sexy. So when I first got my new Commotion Rhumba Rabbit out to play, I was expecting an on-point internal dance. Something that was really going to make me sing along. And hopefully ending in a finale that gave me more feels than the final dance in Dirty Dancing. Clearly, my expectations were somewhat high. I mean, have you seen Patrick Swayze’s lift? Goosebumps don’t even cover it.

Packaging

The Commotion Rhumba Rabbit Vibrator comes in quality packaging. A beautifully designed cardboard box, with a door to reveal your new toy cushioned inside. Along with your new internal dancer, there is a USB charging cable. But no storage pouch. Why can’t more sex toys please come with storage pouches?

Design

Completely body safe and waterproof, the Rhumba is made of soft raspberry silicone with a touch of ABS plastic on the handle. It has a modest shaft with 5.6 inches of length for your penetrative pleasures. The 4-inch circumference may be seemingly petite, but once that rabbit Rhumba’s you may as well have a 6-inch dong in there. It touches every wall of the vagina with its deliciously stimulating, dancing balls.

The four balls of the Commotion Rhumba Rabbit party noisily inside the shaft. Their dance floor is about 2 inches in length, leaving the head and the base of the shaft a dance-free zone. These small balls move expertly, gliding with grace against the silicone and providing plenty of external shaft movement. It’s just a shame they can’t do it a bit more quietly.

The Rhumba is a classic rabbit in that it features the split rabbit ‘ears’ to vibrate and stimulate the clitoris. These long floppy ears are pretty useless, in my opinion, unless a very subtle clitoral tickle is what you’re going for? They aren’t stiff enough to conduct the sort of vibrating movement I crave, but fortunately are floppy enough that I can move them the hell out of my way and get to the good stuff. The rabbits head, containing a rather powerful and Rhumbalicious motor.

Charging

We can add the Commotion Rhumba Rabbit into the evergrowing pile of rechargeable sex toys that come with a USB cable but no USB adapter. It’s probably for the best, I only have so many plug sockets. The cable plugs into the base of the rabbit and you can charge it in any USB port. It flashes blue when you charge it, you can’t use it whilst it’s charging and bla bla bla, does anyone really want to know all of this? Are you even still awake?

Controls

There are two separate controls for this boogying bunny. One controls the Rhumba balls and one controls the floppy-eared clitoral stimulator. Holding either of these buttons down for 3 seconds will turn the toy on or off. Which is a lot more useful than having to scroll through countless functions when you need to turn it off in a hurry. When your mum decides to visit unannounced for instance. Not that this happened. It most definitely did not happen…

Extra useful for when this entirely hypothetical situation arises is the slight rise to the buttons. Making them simple to navigate when the rabbit is inside your vagina and someone turns up to trash your orgasm.

Hypothetically.

Functions

A good clitoral vibrator will range from the gentle buzz of a bee to the formidable roar of an aeroplane take off. I’ll take the latter. Of course. The Rhumba Rabbit has a good range, with three steady vibes increasing in intensity and four patterned vibes for when you want to completely confuse your genitals. Can anyone really make sense of patterns inside and out? It gives my vagina a headache.

Fortunately, the Commotion Rhumba Rabbit has two separate motors. So increasing one won’t turn the other into a pathetic excuse for pleasure. Internally the Rhumba beads can perform 7 different dances, all with their own merits in regards to orgasmic performance. Though none of them making a huge difference to the sensations of the one before.

Play Time

A dollop of water-based lube and a threesome fantasy later and I could insert the Commotion Rhumba Rabbit without any warm up. I guess slimmer shafts are good for something. Despite this having a bulge for g spot stimulation I find that in order to have it in the right place externally it needs to be inserted past my g spot. This is of course anatomy dependent. And probably has something to do with the fact I choose to forgo the good for nothing rabbit ears for the much more stimulating, though somewhat buzzy, rabbits head.

Internally this rabbit really does The Rhumba. And I can feel every step of the dance. Even on my back with my legs parted wide, my vaginal walls are blessed with this rabbits rhythm. With my legs clamped together the feeling is even more prominent, to the point of discomfort in fact. It has absolutely no similarities to the sensation of penis in vagina sex, but there is no denying it feels damn good. It’s also a device the can be enjoyed completely hands-free, if my legs are closed, leaving my fingers free to roam other areas.

Conclusion

I usually don’t enjoy dual stimulators as much as a dildo and clit vibe combo, but as far as they go this is, at least for me, a very good one. The combination of the internal stimulation and the powerful external vibrations lead to a wowing build up to orgasm. Also, unlike a dildo which I will stop thrusting at the point of orgasm to you know, focus on other things, this continues to stimulate me internally throughout. The only issue I have with this rabbit really is those floppy ears. But even that is a matter of personal preference.
