So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator Review

The So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator did something that shocked the life out of me. And in a good way. As a general rule I don’t review budget friendly clitoral vibrators as I know I can’t give an opinion suited to those who would purchase them. I’ve invested a lot of cash into my clit vibe collection and as such the beginners vibrators no longer pack the punch my clitoris generally needs. Internal vibrators, however, I can enjoy no matter the budget. I was quite surprised to find this vibe to be so small. I thought it was an internal toy as opposed to the external vibrator that it is. But regardless, I have had my wicked way with it internally and externally. Wanna know how that went down and why it gave me such a massive shock?

Packaging

I like the design of the So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator box. It’s a simple thin cardboard box with a plastic insert. Nothing fancy. But it does it’s job. Inside is the vibrator and a small leaflet.

Design

The So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator is unique in that it comes with a sleeve. The sleeve is made of a vibrant pink body safe silicone. So Divine describe their silicone as being silky soft and I couldn’t find a more accurate way to describe it. There is a visible seam but this doesn’t effect play or clean up at all. The 3d design on the toy is very cute and girly. With love hearts along the bottom of the vibe and bumps covering the top. Neither are without function though. The bumps increase sensation during play and the hearts add much needed grip.

Beneath the silicone sleeve is the abs plastic black vibrator. Having the option of both soft silicone or the hardness of plastic is fantastic if you’re yet to know which will work best for you. It gives you the chance to experiment with both without having to shell out for two seperate sex toys. The matte black plastic has a visible seam which can be felt by hand. I haven’t found it to have any effect on use though, as with the silicone sleeve. I wouldn’t say the sleeve was easy to remove but it’s certainly manageable. And it glides back on with ease. I would be cautious doing it too often though as the silicone could tear during removal.

There is a silver coated screw-on base on the So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator. This is where a AA battery can be inserted, positive side first. I had no issues screwing it on and off to insert my rechargeable battery.

The Vibes

The So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator has a massive total of 10 vibration modes. This includes 3 speeds and 7 different patterns. I was more than a little pleased to discover my favourite pattern on here as well! The wave pattern. Perfect for teasing and pleasing. As is expected with budget friendly toys, the vibrations have significantly more buzz than rumble. The problem with this is it can have a numbing effect on your body and the vibrations don’t travel as deeply.

Whilst So Divine claim this vibrator to be whisper quiet, that is far from how I would describe it. There is no doubt you would need some background noise to muffle it’s buzz. Fortunately, it does have the benefit of being waterproof though. So a secret play in the bath or shower is definitely an option with the So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator.

Play Time

Clitoral Sleeve

The first time of using the So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator I played with it clitorally with it’s silicone sleeve intact. Whilst I was pleasantly surprised at the reaction my body had to it’s vibrations, I did find the buzz slightly numbing. It certainly got me in a state of high arousal, but I wasn’t able to take myself over the edge of orgasm. The bumps of the sleeve added an interesting sensation as I pressed the vibrator against my clit. I found the texture to be more enjoyable then the smooth texture of it’s inner bullet.

Internal Vibrator

Since I assumed this was an internal vibrator, I decided to see how it would fair as such. For those suffering painful penetration or with no penetrative experience, it may have been ideal. I used it for some warm up against my clitoris first to prepare me for internal pleasures. Given it’s size I skipped on the lube, but since it’s silicone, water-based lube would be the way to go. Unfortunately it’s lack of girth meant I was unable to appreciate the textures of the sleeve or the vibrations. It just didn’t reach my vaginal walls in a way a larger sex toy would. Whilst I can often reach my g-spot with straight toys, this wasn’t one of them either. It’s combination of sizing and straightness meant it was a g-spot no go. All in all, it’s as I had thought. An external vibrator.

Clitoral and sleeveless

Still wondering where the shock factor came in? So far it was all as was expected. A budget friendly toy that didn’t house the power my clitoris craves. Before writing the review I needed to give the So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator one last chance. Without it’s sleeve. By hand I felt the vibrations were the same as they were with the sleeve intact. But my clitoris. That had other thoughts on the matter.

f
I relaxed for what I thought would be a long show with no finale. It wasn’t until about a minute into play that it hit me. The pleasure was building up. And up. And up. Surely I wasn’t going to orgasm with a £16 vibrator?! And then shock. Three minutes into play and I was having a powerful orgasm. What the? How is that even possible?

The Conclusion

The truth is I’m not going to be reaching for the So Divine Je T’aime Vibrator over my higher end sex toys. But that does not make it a bad toy. For it’s price it’s actually quite spectacular. And gives me hope that people can achieve body safe orgasms without spending a fortune. I was genuinely blown away by this toy. It is the only vibrator I have under £50 that can bring me to orgasm clitorally. And that is more than a little impressive. So yes I recommend it. To both beginners and the budget conscious.
